Jansen Tree Experts was established in 1955 under the name “H & W Tree Surgery”. Owned and operated by Herbert & Tee Jansen, services included trimming, topping, removal of trees and shrubs, and land clearing. The tools of the trade were hand saws and machetes.

As the Jansen family grew, so did the family business. Herb and Tee’s five sons Jim, Larry, Tom, Ken, and Joe joined in the business at a young age - delivering firewood and eventually climbing the trees and running the crews.

In 1982, Herb and Tee together with sons Tom and Jim, expanded the business and the name was changed to “Jansen Tree Experts.” Shortly after, an office was built in Eddystone, Pa. where the business still runs today.

In 2004, Herb sadly passed away after giving over 50 years of excellent service to Delaware County and surrounding areas. Presently, the family business continues its tradition of quality service under the leadership of Tee and Tom, with the help of Larry, Ken, Steve, Joana, Christine, and a staff unsurpassed by any other.
